There are many different styles of skateboarding. The most popular ones are vert skateboarding and street skateboarding. Vert skateboarding is when you use a quarter pipe or bowls or big half pipes and go from horizontal to vertical by going off of the ramp.bert skateboarding can be practiced in skateparks. A famous vert skater is tony hawk. Tony hawk most famous for his 900 is a vert skater that made his career of of it and was very successful with it. Vert skateboarding has a spot in the xgames as vert skating where contests compete with their vert skills. There is also street skating which has become much more popular and is the most common in people to do and see around. Street skating is easier to get into by using obstacles and things from the street that are not meant to skate. Street skating can also be practiced in skateparks. Street skating seems to be more common because it can be practiced anywhere or in parks. There are many more known professional skaters known as street skaters like Ryan sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, nyjah Huston and many many more.
